National Quitter's Day

Our Goals For You

šŸ˜ National Quitterā€™s Day?

The second Friday of every January (last Friday the 12th) has been labeled ā€œNational Quitterā€™s Dayā€. This is when around 80% of people officially give up on their latest round of New Year resolutions.

But that isnā€™t an option when Santa is on watch!

Whether you decided to fold it up last Friday or if you have continued to trek on, we wanted to share some amazing Christmas-related goals to reset your compass on what you love most: Christmas!

Save Up For Christmas
Whether itā€™s Christmas gifts or a Christmas vacation starting to save early is the key to keeping the stress about holiday bills in check. There are many ways to do this, but we suggest getting out a notebook and tallying up the expected costs related to the purchases. Then break that into weeks left until December (~45) and set up some auto transfers into savings. Ex: Christmas travel going to cost you $1000? Thatā€™s ~$22 a week. .Just set it and forget it until the time comes. We set up different accounts like ā€œVacationā€ ā€œGiftsā€ and ā€œEmergency Fundā€ that get auto-deposits each Monday.

Find The Best Sales
While we always suggest checking our 10 Gifts of The Week section of this email, there are plenty of other ways to find amazing deals. Signing up for alerts from SlickDeals is one of our favorite ways never to miss one. Donā€™t worry, again we arenā€™t affiliated with them, just fans. Itā€™s a site supported by community members that alert deals that range from The North Face, Adidas, and Banana Republic, to Best Buy and Wal-Mart. You donā€™t have to sign up to get the deals, so feel free to check it out with no strings attached.

Try New Recipes
Every week we give you three awesome recipes that we recommend making, and the holiday season isnā€™t the only time to try them. While finding recipes online is one thing, actually saving them and breaking them down into recipe cards is another. For this problem, we have found a solution that we use every single week. The solution: Plan To Eat. This website and app allow you to simply share the webpage to the app, which then breaks it into a virtual recipe card complete with ingredients. The other thing we love: you can schedule the meals and it automatically compiles a shopping list! If you want 20% off of the subscription or just to try it free for 14 days, you can click here!

šŸ‘ž What Have We Been Cobbling?

Remember when we spoke about saving for a Christmas vacation? Well how about we spark your interest and maybe even get you heading down a rabbitā€™s hole of places to venture to? Iceland is an awesome place to venture for a bit of chilly cheer and researching it now while you are stuck inside during a snowstorm with a cup of cocoa sounds like an amazing idea to us!

As always we love to present you with a weekly gift guide because while Christmas may have passed, birthdays, anniversaries, and celebrations never stop. This week we feature a helpful list of awesome gifts for your favorite runner. Maybe itā€™s time to get someone back into the groove after National Quitterā€™s Day after all!
